
In 1970 he
graduated Cerrahpaşa Medical Faculty.
In 1977 he had Urology residency at Gülhane
Military Medical Academy.
In 1977 he
had observations at Londra Institute of Urology. Then he worked at Eskişehir
Air Force Hospital for 4 years. In 1981 he came to GATA as a Chief Resident and
he became Associate Professor then Professor with his works on urodynamics and
percutaneous lithotripsy..
In 1990 he
resigned from his military mission voluntarily and worked at Van Yüzüncü Yıl
University Urology Clinic. He established Urology Clinic of Fatih University
Faculty of Medicine and worked as Head of the Department.
While he was working
at Üromed Urology Center with ELMED, he contributed to the development and manufacturing of lithotriptor
which was the first time in Turkey. In the following years he took part in the
development and clinical applications of ultrasonic and pnematic lithotriptors
with this team. Flexible Ureteroscopic lithotripsy, Turkish robot Avicenna
(İbn-i Sina) which was developed for the first time in the world, has attracted
great attention in the world. He received awards with the presentations of this
robot. He developed Morcellator for HOLEP (Laser Prostate Surgery) surgeries.
