
Prof. Dr.
Tuğbay Tuğ was born in İzmir in 1958. He completed his primary and middle
school in Ankara and graduated from Ankara Atatürk High School in 1975. In the
same year he started Ankara University Faculty of Medicine and received
degree as “Medical Doctor” in 1981.
In 1981,
Prof. Dr. Tuğbay Tuğ started his specialized training at General Surgery
Clinic, Ankara University that he had graduated from and he became General
Surgeon in 1987. Within this period he worked on Abdominal Surgery, Endocrine
Surgery, Mammoplasty and Peripheral Vascular Surgery.
After his
specialized training, he completed his military service at Hakkari Mountain and
Commando Brigade as a general surgeon physician ensign between the years
1987-1988.
Between
1988-1991, Prof. Dr. Tuğbay Tuğ performed numerous operations at Mucur Public
Hospital in Kırşehir when he was completing his compulsory service as a general
surgeon.
After the
compulsory service,Dr.Tuğbay Tuğ worked
for a while at the Ministry of Health Ankara Hospital, 2.General Surgeon Clinic
in 1991and in 1994 he returned to Ankara University Faculty of Medicine and
continued his academical studies here.
In 1997, he
became an Associate Professor. In 2000,
he was assigned to associate professor staff of Ankara Medicine Faculty,
Department of General Surgeon. In 2003 he became Professor. Dr.Tuğbay Tuğ is currently the professor at the same clinic
and speaks advanced English.
Prof.Dr.Tuğbay
Tuğ who concentrates his studies on Mammoplasty and Endocrine System Surgery,
has many scientific articles published in the national and international journals, congress
presentations, posters and speeches.
Within the
period of his academical studies, Dr.
Tugbay Tuğ was on national and
international duties and he worked at
the board of management of many
professional associations related his profession.
Prof.Dr.Tuğbay
Tuğ is married and has two children.
